The reason for looking at the 5 highest demands (a supplier would only provide the maximum in any one month) is that the very highest could be a one off and the next four could be much lower. This would need further investigation as to why (could be a meter/data glitch) but may indicate the consumption levels are much lower than a one off figure would suggest.
